| The scope used but the optics are clean and scratch free. It comes with it´s own small tripod but has standard threads for mounting on a large photo tripod.
The scope is a great and inexpensive way to see if the kids really like that astronomy hobby they are talking about since they saw a model of the solar system at school.
However, it is actually quite powerful for it´s price; I did get to see for instance the rings around Saturn with it (for an amateur like me quite a sight).
A few bucks for an inexpensive scope to try over the summer, than you can write the big check for the Christmas surprise; the Hubble home version :-)
